TRS Institute Announces Key Management Appointment of Kristin Hagen and Acquisition of A Line Above, LLC
Medical Transcription Training Leader Continues Growth
Shrewsbury, MA - (date) - TRS Institute (TRSi), the nation's leading provider of AHDI-approved online medical transcription and speech recognition training programs, announces the appointment of Kristin Hagen to the position of Director of Curriculum Development. In addition, TRSI has acquired A Line Above, Hagen's full-service medical transcription service organization.
CEO Peter Reilly says that the appointment of Hagen and the acquisition of her firm reflect the next phase of growth for TRSI Corporation. Hagen holds a fellowship designation from the Association for Healthcare Documentation Integrity (AHDI) and is credentialed as a Certified Professional in Health Information Technology, Electronic Health Records, and Health Information Exchange. She is a member of the AHDI Board of Directors, serving as secretary. She began her career as a certified emergency medical technician and sales/marketing coordinator for Micron Technology, Inc. prior to forming her business in 2005. She has served as Utah-Idaho’s delegate for AHDI, as member in the Legislative Issues Group, past chair of Sustainable Structure Task Force, and contributor to Quality Assessment and Management Best Practices and Privacy, Security, Compliance and Ethical Best Practices. She holds membership in American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA), Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), and is a volunteer stakeholder on the Washington-Idaho Regional Extension Center (WIREC).
